The full programme of championship races and dates will published as soon as race dates have been confirmed.

Below there is a link to the guideline sessions for Jan – Apr, building on the sessions and strength gained so far this winter thro’ Jan and Feb and then getting faster with less bulk throughout March.

They go in 4-weekly cycles as before but you’ll see that there are “measurement” sessions at 400m, 800m and 1500m built in to help gauge progress and to help plan for track events. As ever they are adaptable to age groups and individuals.

We need to decide what track events to aim for and I’ll be setting some dates for Open TracK challenges very soon. We also have to start building in the fell programme from April.

Minibus will be leaving UAK at 8.15am on Saturday. The cost for all juniors is £7. This includes entry,minibus and a meal at Beeches afterwards. Juniors will just require money for a drink on the day and something to eat during day.
Can you let me know you are definatly going and pay me at training. You must wear club vest. Bring warm clothing,there are showers.

We will be going to the Beeches for a well deserved carvery and ice cream to finish after our trip to Wakefield. The cost for entry into race, minibus and meal is £7. Parents are welcome to join us if they wish for meal.
Can you let Loz have the money either next week at training or on day and tell me if you are travelling on minibus.
Minibus will be leaving UAK at 8.15am. Juniors will require the usual warm clothing, change of clothes, pocket money for a drink afterwards etc.

Last Monday night run will be Monday 19th December. Resuming on Monday 9th January.

Just to let you know the raffle at Presentation night raised £125. Thanks everybody who donated prizes. Thanks to everybody involved in organising a great event. Thanks again to all the coaches and helpers and parents and most of all thanks to all the juniors for all there hard work last year, the night was for you and I hope you enjoyed it.

Breaking news is that the under 11 boys finished 3rd team on day and 4th team overall in West Yorkshire cross country – Brilliant result, well done boys.

There is 146 going to Junior Presentation night so it promises to be a great night. Dont forget those that are going we bring our own food so let Richard or Loz know what you are bringing so we dont all bring the same thing. The Fourth Junior Presentation night will be on Friday 2nd December at Keighley RUFC at Utley.

We are looking to keep the cost down by only charging people £4.00 per head or £12.00 for a family, and as like last year everybody contributes food towards a Jacobs Join Supper.

The rugby club require a list of names who are going a week before and this will be the definitive list. You must be on the list by 26th November otherwise you wont be allowed in. (Rugby Club rules).

These championships will be held on Saturday 7^th January 2012 at  Thornes Park, Wakefield.  We are hoping to get a bus to take us all there, but we need to know who wants to go and run.   Those who have been before, have had a great day out.

At a Junior Coaches meeting was held on 03 November to discuss ensuring that all the junior athletes at the club had access to the best coaching opportunities the club could offer.  Please click on Best Coaching for further details.

Well done Lucy and Eric who both won there races at the weekend. The results are now up on Woodentops website. I counted 44 KCAC juniors who ran. That is an amasing turnout.That was the last of the club champs for this year,hope you all enjoyed it. Dont forget its York on Saturday for the cross country crew.
Monday night runners will need hat,gloves,warm waterproof top,hi viz jacket and head torch throughout winter.
Dont forget to get your tickets off Loz for presentation night. There is a disco,games and the usual loads of prizes.
